What this audience should prioritize

Hourly staff rarely sit at a computer, and they often start work after a short handover. A knowledge base for them has to open on a phone and give an answer in seconds. Onboarding matters too, because shift employers train new starters constantly.

Trainual is designed for companies of 10 to 200 employees that need to turn how the business runs into onboarding material. It no longer publishes prices; Core is estimated at about $249 a month for 10 seats billed annually, which works out to about $25 per employee for a 10-person team. It does not handle I-9 processing, E-Verify or other compliance paperwork.

Confluence runs on web, iOS and Android, so shift workers can reach SOPs from their own devices. Document360 and Tettra are listed as cloud and web-based only, which means a phone browser rather than an app. Process Street turns procedures into checklists, starting at $100 per month on Startup, but approvals and conditional logic require the Pro plan at $1,500 per month.

Frequently asked questions

Is Trainual expensive for a small shift business?

It can be. At an estimated $249 a month for 10 seats plus about $3 per extra seat, a 15-person team pays about $264, roughly $18 per employee per month, more than some full HR platforms that include onboarding. The cost per head drops as headcount grows, since extra seats cost far less than the base.
