Best HowNow Alternatives
HowNow buyers look elsewhere when quote-only pricing, no free trial or a skills-first LXP design does not match a compliance training need.
Quote-only pricing and the absence of a free trial frustrate buyers who want a number before sitting through a demo. HowNow is also built as a learning experience platform around skills mapping and content discovery, so teams whose main need is assigning compliance courses and producing audit reports from a classic LMS can find it pointed the wrong way.
HowNow and its alternatives at a glance
| Tool | Best for | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| HowNow (current) | L&D teams wanting AI skills mapping inside Slack or Teams | Quote-based |
| Degreed | Global enterprises reskilling tens of thousands of staff at once | Quote-based |
| EdCast | Cornerstone customers adding a learning experience layer for enterprise staff | Quote-based |
| Valamis | Enterprises tying compliance training to skills maps | Quote-based |
Organizations that value in-flow learning through Slack or Teams and use the Guru coaching features have good grounds to keep it. On the way out, separate your own courses from items in the HowNow+ library, since licensed third-party content may not export with the material your team created.

Questions buyers ask
Is there an LXP like HowNow with published pricing?
HowNow itself does not list prices; every deal goes through a custom quote and there is no trial. Buyers who want a public rate card should compare vendors that publish per-user pricing, then check whether they match HowNow's Slack, Teams and Chrome integrations.
